Email Marketing Specialist (Remote) – E-commerce

They are looking for a data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to own their strategy and drive revenue through impactful email and SMS campaigns.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-obsessed Email Marketing Specialist to take ownership of their entire email and SMS marketing program. You will be responsible for developing and executing campaigns that drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue. This role is perfect for someone who loves analyzing data, testing relentlessly, and crafting compelling content that converts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive email and SMS marketing strategy encompassing flows (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase) and promotional campaigns.
  • Campaign Management: Build, segment, schedule, and deploy all email and SMS campaigns using platforms like Klaviyo.
  • Content Creation: Write compelling copy and collaborate with designers to create high-converting email templates and SMS blasts.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rate, revenue). Use insights to A/B test subject lines, copy, CTAs, and send times for continuous optimization.
  • List Growth: Develop and execute strategies to grow the subscriber list and improve list health.
  • Automation: Build and optimize automated customer journey flows to maximize lifetime value (LTV).

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, specifically in an e-commerce environment.
  • Proven experience with Klaviyo (or a similar platform like Mailchimp, Omnisend) is a must.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write in a brand’s voice.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of email best practices, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM/GDPR regulations.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience with SMS marketing.
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for email template tweaks.
  • Experience in a DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) brand.
