Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Inventory & Delivery Manager to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time. You will be the owner of the entire inventory lifecycle—from demand planning and purchase order management to warehouse coordination and final-mile delivery. Your expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and inventory health.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and marketing calendars to create accurate demand forecasts. Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts and minimize overstock.
- Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and domestic (USA) 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) warehouses. Track production and shipment timelines.
- Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage POs, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery from manufacturers to fulfillment centers.
- Delivery & Fulfillment Oversight: Monitor order fulfillment KPIs (e.g., pick/pack time, shipping accuracy) with 3PL partners. Ensure SLAs are met and customer delivery promises are kept.
- Returns & Reverse Logistics: Manage the returns process in collaboration with the customer service team, ensuring efficient processing and restocking.
- Systems & Data Management: Utilize inventory management software (e.g., Shopify, NetSuite, Cin7) to maintain accurate stock counts. Generate regular reports on inventory turnover, sell-through rates, and fulfillment performance.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or operations, specifically within US e-commerce.
- Proven experience with demand forecasting, purchase order management, and working with 3PLs.
- High proficiency in using inventory management systems (e.g., Shopify Plus, NetSuite) and advanced skills in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with remote teams and external partners.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience in the footwear, apparel, or fashion industry.
- Experience with import/export logistics for goods manufactured overseas.
- Knowledge of reverse logistics and returns management platforms.
